AN annual event to place a giant Menorah outside the Cliffs Pavilion in Westcliff in order to celebrate the eight days of Chanukah has taken place.
Sir David Amess, MP for Southend West, attended the lighting of the Menorah to celebrate the fourth day of the Jewish holiday.
He was joined by Rabbi Binyamin Bar, councillors Chris Walker and David Garston and Derek Silverstone, chairman of the Southend and Westcliff Hebrew Congregation.
