Two men held staff at gunpoint and demanded money at M&S confectioners.

The men entered the shop in London Road, Rayleigh, at around 6.10am wearing hooded tops and balaclavas.

They were armed with what has been described as a gun and an axe.

Fortunately, the men were unsuccessful and nothing was taken.

Essex Police have released a CCTV image of a man we want to speak to in connection with the incident.

As well as an image of car which drove passed the shop as the men were leaving and may have seen them.
