A 16-year-old has been sexually assaulted in an alleyway.
The victim was walking down an alley on Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, near to M&S at around 4am on January 6 with a man.
They then parted company but the man came back and attacked her.
A man was arrested later that day.
Bradley Boyd, 20, of Woodside Avenue, Benfleet was charged with assault by penetration and appeared at Basildon Crown Court on January 12.
He is next due to appear at the same court on February 6.
We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something or have any other information to come forward.
