Details of lane and road closures have been revealed as a new phase of works begin to fix problems with the A13 and A130 junction.

The next phase of work has started at the junction of Sadlers Farm, with roadworks scheduled to run throughout February and into July.

Motorists are advised to check closures and diversion routes as the roadworks could cause traffic disruption.

Between January 8 and 28, Brackendale Avenue will be closed with local diversion.

On Canvey Way, there will a single lane closure under traffic light control between January 29 and February 12.

The lane closure will only run between 9pm and 5am.

Between February 19 and 25, there will also be a single lane closure on London Road in both directions from 9pm and 5am.

Lane one will be closed 24/7 on the A130 Link Eastbound and Westbound between February 12 and July 23.

A full weekend closure of the A130 Link Westbound will take place between July 20 and 23 and there will be a diversion over Sadlers Farm roundabout.

The works will see the replacement of the existing concrete walls to help the drainage works for at the A13 Link Road.

The bearings of the two bridges over the junction will also be replaced to improve their structure and ensure they remain intact for a longer period.

Kevin Bentley, deputy leader of Essex County Council, said the works were planned to cause minimal disruption to drivers.

He said: “These works are being completed at no additional cost to the taxpayer following completion of the Sadlers Farm scheme in 2012.

“All work has been carefully planned to cause as little disruption to the driving public as possible. Once complete, it will ensure Sadlers Farm continues to deliver benefits to Essex residents and commuters over the next century.”
