A TWO-car smash left people trapped in their vehicles on the A130 Bowers Gifford at Basildon.
It took firefighters about 40 minutes to release the two casualties this morning after the collision at the roundabout off Canvey Way.
Two ambulances attended and paramedics treated a woman, believed to be in her 40s, who was conscious and breathing, but had chest and shoulder pain.
She was taken to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital, along with one other patient, for further treatment.
