Blaze tears through house in Southend
Firefighters were called to a house in Southend as flames engulfed the first floor.
When fire crews arrived at the semi-detatched property in Ennismore Gardens, they reported that it was full of smoke and the fire was on the first floor.
Three crews arrived at the property at 5.42pm and managed to extinguish the fire by 6:30pm.
An investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the fire.
