Police are appealing for information after a bus driver was assaulted at the bus station in Basildon.
Police received reports of an assault in Southernhay, Basildon, at around 9.50am yesterday (Wednesday, March 7).
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We received calls after a man was grabbed after refusing to allow the suspect onto a bus. The victim suffered pain to his back and shoulder.
"A man who tried helping the victim was pushed over during the assault. Enquiries are ongoing.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Basildon police station quoting crime reference numbers 42/31270/18 and 42/31281/18.
"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
