THE PREVIEW: Concord Rangers visit bottom club Whitehawk buoyed by an excellent three points on Tuesday night.

The triumph at Chippenham Town, who boast an impressive home record, lifted the Beach Boys five points clear of the relegation places with games in hand on each of the sides below them.

It will take something of a miracle for Whitehawk to survive the drop. Four wins from 33 matches and 17 points from safety, time is fast running out in their bid to remain in the division.

However, the south coast outfit have lost just one of their last five games and prevented the likes of Bath City and Hampton & Richmond Borough picking up maximum points recently.

THE INSIGHT: “The victory on Tuesday was a good win for us, especially on the road and with the impressive home record Chippenham have,” said Beach Boys manager Adam Flanagan.

“It will have put us in a good position ahead of the weekend but we cannot underestimate Whitehawk.

“They have picked up some good results recently and shown massive improvements since [manager] Steve King has gone back to the club.

“But for us, the game is similar to the one on Tuesday night.

“It will be played between two teams who will be focused on trying to win the game and get three important points.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Lewis Taaffe will be hopeful of making consecutive starts after making a goalscoring return to the team at Chippenham.
