Train operator c2c has warned commuters heading for London to expect delays this morning after a signalling fault.

The fault is affecting trains travelling between Southend and London Fenchurch Street this morning with some delayed by more than an hour and several services cancelled.

Trains between Grays and London Fenchurch Street are also affected.

The company said: "Following a fault with the signalling system between London Fenchurch Street and Limehouse lines have now reopened.

"Services running to and from these stations are returning to normal but some services will still be cancelled, delayed or revised."

Delays are expected until at least 10.30am.

Customers are advised to check the status of the service before they travel.
