PEOPLE will steal anything these days. Even badger signs.

No less than three sets of badger warning notices have been filched from the A127.

The theft is potentially disastrous for badgers and motorists alike, but who could possibly benefit?

It looks like a combined investigation job for the BBC's Crimewatch and Badger Watch teams.
