A driver who was caught speeding 27 times on the A127 has been fined and disqualified from driving for three years. 

Abdul Ayeghbajeje, 37, of Sutton Road, Southend, was found guilty of 27 couts of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle after appearing at Southend Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, May 9. 

He recieved six points on his licence, a £660 fine, and £90 court costs for each count - totalling 172 points, £17,820 in fines, and £2,430 in court costs. 

Ayeghbajeje had previously pleaded not guilty at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Saturday, April 7. 

In just under four months, between October 5, 2017, and January 3, 2018, his Range Rover Sport was found speeding by cameras along the A127 between Rayleigh and Leigh

Investigating officer Roy Keyes, of the Casualty Reduction Investigation Team, said: “Ayeghbajeje's vehicle was registered to Belgium, so initially it was difficult to track him down.

“Following some good work and a chance meeting with him during a roads policing operation in Southend, we had all the evidence we needed to bring him to court.

"He has continued deny being the driver of his car during the offences and now faces a lengthy driving ban and has been order to pay a hefty fine.”
