THE Burnham Music Group will be having their summer concert next Saturday.

The music event will be at St. Mary’s Church in Church Road, Burnham from 7.45pm.

The concert will be titled An English Idyll and feature works by Rutter, Vaughan Williams, Dale, and Purcell and Bridge.

This will all be performed by the Burnham Music Group choir conducted by Peter Dale.

There will also be some guest artists joining in including soprano Suzanne Walker and baritone Terry Saunders.

The singers will be accompanied by an orchestra led by Chris Gould and Steve Pritchard on continuo.

The group, which has existed since 1977, consists of a number of amateur singers all excited by choral music.

They aim to perform in public twice a year, spending several months learning and preparing pieces for concerts.

Tickets for this event are £12 for adults, £10 concessions and under-16s go free.
