DOES your child show a flair for songwriting?
A half-term songwriting workshop is being held for one day on Friday June 1, by Southend based professional musician, actor and songwriter Davey Hal and professional vocal coach, songwriter and singer Louisa Strachan.
The day is at anyone aged from 12 – 18, who writes or wants to learn to write songs, whether they are a singer who wants to broaden their horizons or a musician who wants to learn the skills to get their music to be heard.
Young people will learn song composition and how to build on basic chords, lyric writing and creative ways to tell their story, how to find inspiration and tips and tricks on how to finish writing the song and how to brush up on their theory, playing skills, vocal skills and get to play with other musicians.
Fees are £30 per person via louisastrachanvocalcoach.gettimely.com
It takes place from 12 until 5pm at Brook Road, Rayleigh.
