A NIGHT of Hip Hop, RnB, funk, soulful house, ska, reggae and dancehall music is coming up this Saturday, at a new triptych DJ event called Mash It Up.
Spearheaded by DJ Marrsey (real name Michelle Marrs), it will take place at Peggy Sue's music bar, from 7pm until 1am.
Michelle, who will be playing a set of Hip Hop and RnB, wanted to create the night as a way of combining a multitude of genres for different musical tastes.
She will be joined by G Dub (Gav Hawkins) who will be playing ska, reggae and dance hall. He is know for playing the Box Room at Ministry of Sound and the Mermaid Theatre, London, every second Saturday of each month for two years, and the Spirit Bar, London, once a month. He also ran and travelled about the reggae scene with the well-known Leeds based Iration Steppas sound system and South East London-based, roots reggae Jamaican sound system Jah Shaka.
DJ Just Jule (Julie Price) will be completing the threesome with her house set.
Julie is a well established house DJ, with a reputation for getting the crowds going at many events and festivals with her mixture of funky, vocal and soulful house mixes.
The DJs will rotate in two hours sets.
Peggy Sue's will be serving food all day until closing with hour on from 7pm - 8pm.
