A man has been arrested after a huge police presence was seen at a row of flats in Southend.
A dozen officers attended the scene at the Longbow flats in Sherwood Way after reports of a suspect carrying a firearm in the area.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We were called with reports of a domestic argument occurring at flats in Sherwood Way, Southend, just before 10.30am this morning, June 2.
"The informant reported seeing a firearm.
"Armed officers attended and detained a 33-year-old man of no fixed address on suspicion of possession of a firearm and assault.
"He is currently in custody."
Images from Aaron Chesham show a suspect being arrested by two officers outside the scene.
"The police were not letting anybody in or out of the building while they were inside."
