It's being hosted by LDNR Records (a spin off of the London Road Studio in Leigh) at The Foundry, together with Paul Hill, bassist of Southend mod rockers Doojip.
Musicians of all styles are welcome, whether playing original or cover material.
A complete backline with a drum kit (rods or brushes to be used) a bass amp and a guitar amp is available.
This is the first time this event will take place, but is hoped to continue.
Paul Hill said: "If you would like to showcase your material and have the chance to be booked by LDNR Records for future events, get down, book in and play."
Joe Lamb of London Road Studios, added: "There are still places available and anyone is welcome to fill them."
The Foundry is situated in Hamlet Court Road.
Admission is free.
All performers get a beverage for playing.
The night starts at at 8pm.
