A NEW ice cream based on a popular game has launched nationwide by Southend-based ice cream company Rossi.

This summer as temperatures soar, mobile gaming giant King, has partnered with boutique British ice-cream specialists Rossi to launch Candy Crush ice cream, available to buy nationwide through Ocado.

Bringing ‘That Sweet Feeling’ to you this summer, global phenomenon Candy Crush is now available to its millions of UK users in three delicious flavours.

There are three different flavours available, each inspired by King’s biggest game, the ever-popular Candy Crush Saga.

The first ice cream is called bubble-gum surprise with pink bubble gum flavour, popping candy and rainbow sprinkles.

Chocolate mountain is the second ice cream with chocolate flavour, white chocolate chunks and chocolate beans.

The last ice cream option is marshmallow delight with vanilla flavour, blue raspberry marshmallows, chocolate chunks and rainbow sprinkles.

Charlie Bird, sales director at Rossi, said: “We have been making delicious award-winning ice creams since 1932.

“When the opportunity arose to partner with such an iconic brand, we jumped at the chance.

“Candy Crush is synonymous for its creative and vibrant graphics and wondrous, imaginative world - it was an absolute dream to be able to bring those to life through our product and we had great fun in developing the flavours.

“We have totally ‘crushed’ it.”

It is available in two sizes, a single serving of 100ml which costs £1.99 and a larger share tub of 500ml which costs £3.99. The ice cream’s packaging features famous Candy Crush characters best friends Yeti and Tiffi and the loveable bubble-gum troll.

Melanie Catling, senior brand director at King, said “Candy Crush is a huge global phenomenon and has always been praised for its fun, vibrant graphics, cute characters and backdrops such as the exploding colour bomb, marshmallow mountain and the mischievous Bubble-gum Troll.

“Candy Crush Saga gives you the sweetest feeling when you play, and we wanted to give that same feeling with a spoonful of ice cream!”
