A 28-year-old man has been charged with rape following an incident in Southend.

Jaroslaw Halibozek of Danbury Close, Leigh, appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 20.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Basildon Crown Court on Wednesday, July 18.

The charge follows reports of a sexual assault on Temple Farm Industrial Estate at around 11.20pm on Saturday, June 9.

Officers continue to appeal for any witnesses, including two men who may have spoken to the victim, to come forward.
