ANOTHER performance at Cliffs Pavilion has been cancelled.
George Benson has been forced to cancel his concert in Southend this evening due to illness.
The ten-time Grammy Award singer George Benson said today: “I was very much looking forward to playing for the people of Southend, but unfortunately laryngitis has invaded my vocal chords and put a damper on my performance capabilities which means that I will have to cancel tomorrow night’s show.
“My apologies to all my fans, thank you for your support and know that I love you all.”
Ticket holders should go back to their point of purchase for a refund.
The news follows Elvis Costello having to cancel his gig at Cliffs Pavilion on Wednesday night.
After some surgery last month his doctor strongly advised him to take a break from his current tour itinerary and rest.
Ticket holders for Elvis Costello should retain their tickets and await further details of the re-scheduled date in the near future. Visit southendtheatres.org.uk
