A NATURE reserve is hosting a Mr Mole themed picnic event tomorrow (Saturday).
Hanningfield Reservoir Visitor Centre in Downham, near Billericay, is holding the family event from 2pm-4pm. Visitors can bring their favourite bear for a picnic on the reserve and sit near Mr Mole’s sculpture or in the dedicated picnic area. There’s also the chance to make a den for your bear to explore. The reseve now has a popular Wind in the Willows Sculpture and Brass Rubbing trail featuring large-scale wooden sculptures of characters from Kenneth Grahame’s much-loved book.
Entry is a donation of £2 per adult, £1 per child, £5 per family.
