A man has pleaded guilty to a number of offences in connection with a crash which left five men with serious injuries.
Officers attended Furtherwick Road on Saturday, April 14, after a car crashed into five men, resulting in serious injuries, shortly after 4.10pm.
Max Maxwell, 18, of Small Gains Avenue, Canvey, was arrested the following day and later charged with four counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, one count of aggravated vehicle taking.
After pleading guilty, Maxwell has been remanded in custody and will return to court for sentencing on Monday, July 23.
Maxwell has pleaded guilty to three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, one count of assault, one count of aggravated vehicle taking and one count of driving without insurance.
There is one additional charge of causing serious injury by dangerous driving that is currently being reviewed with the court, and we are unlikely to know this outcome until sentencing.
