THIS Saturday is no ordinary Saturday, because it's Wild Woods Day.

Held in Hockley Woods, thanks to Rochford District Council Leisure, you are promised a "a jam-packed programme of activities and entertainment", from 11am until 4pm.

Activities include face painting, craft activities, treasure hunt, nature trail and soft play or for the more adventurous there will be a chance to shoot arrows in the archery range, try rock climbing and paintballing, parkour and fencing.

The event has been sponsored by Fusion Lifestyle, Amos, Greengateway and Active Rochford.

A handful of selected activities require Wild Tokens, the rest are free of charge.

Wild Tokens will cost £3 for six which you can purchase on the day.

Please note there is no on-site parking at Hockley Woods on the day of the event.

Free parking and a free shuttle bus service will run from Hockley Community Centre, Westminster Drive and Hockley Primary School, Chevening Gardens.

Parking spaces will be limited.

Alternatively, visitors can travel by train to Hockley (Southend Victoria Line) or take the No.7 Bus.
