AN author paid a visit to a coffee shop.
Lizzie Page, of Leigh, visited The Novel Coffee Shop, in London Road, Southend, to donate a copy of her latest book The War Nurses and a signed poster.
The shop doubles as a bookshop and coffee shop sand is staffed by volunteers, creating training and work placement opportunities for adults with learning disabilities.
Ms Page will also be holding the launch event for her second novel in the trilogy Daughters of War published by Bookouture back at the shop in November.
She said: “The Novel Shop is a really unique and lovely asset to the town.
“They deserve to do well.”
The Novel Coffee shop is always looking for books their customers can read while they are there, or to sell.
