Police officers rushed to save a dog stuck in a hot car.
PCSO Adams and Mulholland attended a report of a dog in a car with no ventilation in the Royals Shopping Centre Car Park.
Southend security and several concerned members of the public were also on scene.
The PCSOs forced entry into the car and removed the distressed dog from the car.
The officers then took the dog to a vets for treatment.
Officers are reminding all dog owners that in this weather they shouldn't leave any animal in a car without air conditioning switched on.
If it is not possible to leave the air conditioning on the animal should be taken out and enough water should be given and rest in the shade.
If possible owners shouldn't take animals out during the hottest part of the day.
Officers said the dog is okay and suitable action has been taken against the owners in regards to this matter.
