A sink hole in Westcliff is being fixed.
Diggers are at the scene of the hole in Hamlet Court Road, after it caused problems yesterday.
The road was closed on July 24 between its junction with Rayleigh Avenue to West Road for emergency road works to be carried out.
This comes after a major pipe burst in Bridgwater Drive, which left residents without water.
It is not known how long the roadworks will take to be completed or when the road will re-open.
