A road is closed due to a stand-off between a man and police.
The man appears to be standing on a ledge and is refusing to get down.
Police, fire and ambulances are currently on scene.
Chancellor Road is closed while they deal with the situation.
Access to the Royals car park and the Seaway car park is blocked.
A spokesman from Essex Police said: "We were contacted with reports that a man wanted by police had been spotted at an address in Chancellor Road, Southend, today, Monday, July 30.
"We attended the address and the man climbed on a window ledge at around 7am, where he currently remains.
"Nearby roads have been closed for the safety of the man and members of the public.
"We would advise people to avoid the area as we manage this incident."

The man has gone back into the house and has since been taken away by police.
