BURGLARS broke into a family home snatching a car, mobile phones and iPads while the family slept unaware.

The crooks forced their way into the home in Henson Avenue, Canvey in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Anthony Teale, 36, was at home when the incident happened.

His car, a red Ford Fiesta, was stolen in the incident and damage was done to the front doors of the home.

Anthony said: “It happened between roughly 5am and 5.20am on Tuesday morning.

“I have been left feeling angry and disgusted with the people that have done this to our family.

“I had only owned the car for about three weeks and before that my original car was written off, so I’m not very happy at all at the moment as I am without a car again.

“The thieves broke into the house and stole my keys and my parents keys and two phones and iPads.

“They then drove off in my Fiesta and we think it went down Smallgains Avenue, Canvey at about 5.30am.

“We also think that a bank card of mine was found there.

“My parents heard the car drive off and then my dad came in to check on me because he thought it was bit too early for me to go to work.

“If anyone sees it, please let me know where and when. I’m feeling a little depressed.”

He works as a forklift driver and and said the total cost of devices is around £800.

The family had to have front door locks changed.

He said: “I didn’t go to work on the Tuesday as I had things to sort with police and insurance.

“When I do go back, I’ll have to get bus and train or a lift from someone if I can.

“My parents and I were all in bed at the time and makes us feel unsafe.

“I now have to deal with the inconvenience having to sort it all out police insurance and insurance.”
