Armed police swarm after reports of guns
ARMED police rushed to a housing estate after reports of guns on the streets.
Concerned residents called police to Goldhanger Cross, Basildon yesterday afternoon but officers found airsoft guns.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports that weapons, believed to be a handgun and a rifle, had been seen just before 4.25pm on August 8.
"Officers attended and, after establishing these were airsoft guns, gave words of advice to two men."
