A MAN has been brought before court accused of exposure - for sitting naked in his own back garden.
Paul Claxton, 59, of Thundersley Park Road, Benfleet, was enjoying a quiet cuppa in the nude when a shocked neighbour saw him and decided to call the police.
He found himself hauled before Southend Magistrates' Court charged with exposure. He denied intentionally exposing himself.
Mr Claxton eventually accepted being bound over by the court, which means if he commits a further offence in the next 12 months, he will be ordered to pay £500.
The Echo visited the home Mr Claxton shares with his wife, but they declined to comment.
