MULTIPLE cars have been destroyed after a workshop fire.
Essex Fire Service were called out to Gravel Lane in Chigwell on Thursday evening were the workshop containing the cars had been completely set alight.
The fire had spread through the rest of the building.
Four fire engines attended the scene.
Monitoring Officer Dave Bond said: "With cars and cylinders inside the workshop, and other buildings close by, firefighters worked hard to bring the fire under control and stop it spreading.
"By 6.30pm crews had extinguished the fire and will continue to dampen down hotspots within the building.
"The workshop has been completely destroyed, along with several cars that were kept inside."
Officers are set to carry out an investigation to determine the cause.
