TILBURY picked the wrong time to turn in one of their worst performances of the season and have lost control of their own destiny, with relegation from the Ryman Division One North staring them firmly in the face.
Kurt Smith put the Dockers ahead on five minutes but Abbey equalised through Chris Brown's own goal and then took the lead through John Sapsford.
Smith levelled but Lee White put Abbey back in front before skipper Paul King got Tilbury's third.
