A TEAM of former Arsenal footballers and celebrities will play a charity match against dads from a local school at Billericay Town Football Club's ground.

The game is not taking place at St Peter's Primary School, Billericay, as was stated in the Echo on Tuesday.

It is thought Gunners idols Perry Groves and Ray Parlour will be part of the Arsenal Ex-Pro and Celebrity 11, playing a team mostly made up of fathers of pupils from St Peter's School, on Sunday.

Other visiting team members include Great Britain rugby league legend Martin Offiah, cricketer and Strictly Come Dancing winner Mark Ramprakash, former world boxing champion Terry Marsh, from Basildon, and actor Phil Daniels.

Kick off at Billericay Town's ground, off Blunts Wall Road, is at 3pm.

Money raised will go towards building new classrooms at the school.

Arsenal Football Club stressed it cannot 100 per cent guarantee all the star players will be able to make it on the day.
