AN eco-friendly school has set up a green team of teachers and pupils to help boost its environmental credentials.
FitzWimarc School, Rayleigh, plans to install wind turbines and solar panels, with a 27-strong "eco champions" team pushing this forward.
The team aims to encourage recycling and energy saving.
The school's business manager, Debbie Le Monde, said: "We've had a fantastic response from the kids.
"The aim is to create our own wind turbines and solar panels in the future, but first, we need to raise funds."
