A children's entertainer has broken a face painting world record.

Gary Good, of High Road, Fobbing, is now in the Guinness Book of Records after painting four tiger faces in a minute.

Gary, 64, achieved the feat live on Channel 4's Paul O'Grady Show.

He began his entertaining career in 1966 and has since starred in pantomime across the country, with the pinnacle of his career being a role as Gary the Clown on hit 90s TV show, The Big Breakfast.

Starting out as an electrician in the early 1960s, Gary soon realised the joy of painting children's faces was better suited to him than fiddling with fuse boxes.

He said: "Entertaining children has been my life.

"Since being inspired by the clown Poz at the Brighton Butlins holiday camp, I have never looked back.

"He told me to put an act together and go entertaining, so I did."

As hiring children's entertainers was popularised, Gary took advantage of the emerging market and capitalised on what proved to be a niche industry.

His next move is to break the record for the number of faces painted in one hour and he is hoping to paint 90 lucky subjects in his customised, time-saving, conveyor belt system.

The father of two is now looking for sponsors for his next record attempt.
