Three in court over station shooting

A MAN has appearing in court charged with attempted murder.

Brian Wall, 61, of Elstow Road in Dagenham is accused of shooting Adam Mapleson, a commuter, who was hurt during an incident at Rayleigh train station in 2007.

Wall has also been charged with nine counts of conspiracy to rob.

Liza Smith, 34, of Dell Close, Stratford, and Terry Smith, 49, of Point Road, Canvey, also face nine charges of conspiracy to rob, including the robbery at Rayleigh.

The pair, who are unrelated, were also remanded in custody at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today (Saturday).

The three will next appear at Chelmsford Crown Court in August.
