TWELVE suspected illegal immigrants were arrested after being found in a lorry delivering goods to the Ikea store near Lakeside.

The men, from Afghanistan, were discovered yesterday at the shopping centre in Thurrock.

It is not yet known when the stowaways, including a 14-year-old boy and other teenagers, boarded the Polish-registered truck, police said.

An Essex Police spokeswoman said the group were heard "thumping" the inside of the trailer they were found in.

"Twelve people have been arrested on suspicion of being illegal immigrants," she said.

"They have been taken into the custody of police and will be processed by the Immigration Service.

"Those under 18 have been taken into the care of social services."

Is it a coincidense or what that I passed a Polish registered lorry in Cambridgeshire today and having JUST pulled up outside an International Camp where many Polish students are now residing?
I know he had JUST pulled up because I was the third vehicle behind him/her along the road and where there are VERY rarely any police seen.

Afghanistan will soon be empty they will have all arrived here despite the fact they hate us so. It's strange how they never run away to Pakistan or Iran their Muslim neighbours.
