Road signs

Could you please tell me why after spending thousands of pounds, the signs in Friary Road, Friern Barnet, have all been taken down I mean the arrows that tell you to give way or that you have right of way?

I use this road quite a lot and on many occasions have to stop to let someone through even though I have the right of way.

It is even worse when it is dark. People just don't take any notice of the signs on the road.
