Travellers win high court injunction

TRAVELLERS will be guarding Dale Farm against bailiffs on Monday after a High Court judge granted an injunction against Basildon Council removing a controversial community centre.

They are prepared to hand bailiffs a copy of the injunction agreed at an emergency session of the London court late yesterday evening.

Council bosses have given them until midnight tomorrow to remove the log cabin known as St Christopher’s or face its forced removal. The interim injunction means no council action can take place before their judical review application is heard in court next week.

Campaigner Grattan Puxon said: “This protects the centre until the hearing, but we are on standy in case the council has already commissioned the bailiffs before the weekend.”

Tony Ball, deputy council leader, said: “Yet again our hands are tied by the court, which has circumvented our decision."

The judiciary are infiltrated by left wing Blair/Brown appointed judges(thro the back door) who prosper at legislation designed for Human Rights of Criminals and minorities of whatever colour.

Mrs Blair a Barrister did very well!!

As David Fish stated above whoever voted for the Left wing social reforming Government must expect the majority of hard working tax paying public to suffer at the hands of our infiltrated legal system, and continue to pay for a minority of society that is increasingly relying on our benefit system as a way of life and not a safety net.

Judges should be elected.

No they shouldn't - I am totally in favor of an independent, non-elected judiciary appointed on merit rather than popularity (and I mean an independent appointments system, not like the way that the US Supreme Court is appointed). If change is needed then it is the laws they must enforce that need to change, not the judges.
