WHEN a Hollywood A-lister calls you a “real little cutie”, it’s bound to put a smile on your face.
That is why Charlotte Davidson was beaming when she met American actor Adam Sandler at a glitzy film premiere.
The pretty six-year-old, who is recovering from an operation to remove a brain tumour, couldn’t believe her luck when she was chosen to walk the red carpet at the star-studded launch of a new movie, Bedtime Stories.
In the film, Sandler, 42, enters a fantastical world where the stories he reads to his niece start becoming true.
Charlotte, of Chapman Road, Canvey, was one of several courageous children invited to the Disney-organised event after receiving radiotherapy treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Her mum Lucy, 36, and older sister Rebecca, ten, were also invited to mingle with the stars at the Odeon cinema, in Kensington, London.
Lucy said: “It was a fantastic night. Charlotte got to talk to Adam Sandler and he called her a ‘real little cutie’.
“She also had her photo taken with him and he asked her about her treatment.”
Grays-born Russell Brand also has a part in the film and was at the premiere.
It was the 31-year-olds first public appearance since the furore surrounding a joke phone call on his Radio 2 show which resulted in him quitting his job.
The long-haired romeo gave the paparazzi on the red carpet the cold shoulder, but he certainly had some heart-warming words for Charlotte and Rebecca.
“He walked straight past the photographers, but came over to us and starting joking with all the children, including Charlotte and Rebecca,” said Lucy.
“He was incredibly lovely and spent time chatting.
“He also told Rebecca she had a beautiful smile, which totally made her day.”
Charlotte, a pupil at Leigh Beck Infant School, on Canvey, was diagnosed with the tumour by a doctor who examined her eyes while having treatment for a broken foot.
Lucy, a mum-of-four, added: “Charlotte has been through so much since August when she was diagnosed.
“This was a special treat for her and one she’ll remember for a long time.
“What they do at the hospital is beyond words.
“We are so grateful.
“Charlotte’s now been told she’s in the clear which is the best Christmas present we could ask for.”

I think it's wonderful that Charlotte was chosen to walk the red carpet at Disney's organized event for Bedtime Stories. I recently published a bedtime story called Bella's Marigold Cake and it's a wonderful little story for ages 4-7. I think children and parents alike will enjoy it. I've posted my website for it below in my press release: www.prlog.org/101261 71-poignant-story-ab out-little-girls-cap acity-for-love-and-f orgiveness.html
