A BRAVE teenager chased after two robbers, one as young as 11, after they stole his bike.

The 13-year-old lad was riding along the footbridge on Orchard Close in South Ockendon when he was approached by two boys.

They stopped him and demanded he hand over his money but the plucky boy refused.

The thugs then told the boy they would steal his bike.

One of the yobs pushed him off the bike and held him down while the other grabbed it and fled.

But the brave youngster gave chase, running after the boys and eventually retrieving his bike, worth £100.

Police are now hunting the pair.

Laura Anderson of Thurrock police said: “This boy was very brave to chase after these suspects, despite the fact that they pushed him to the floor and stole his bike.

“If anyone saw this robbery, the two suspects fleeing the scene or in the area in the moments leading up to the attack, then we want to hear from them.”

The first robber is a black boy, aged 13 to 14 and wearing grey jogging bottoms and a black hoodie.

His accomplice was white, aged between 10 and 11 and wore a black coat with fur around the hood and blue jeans.
