A ROBBER held up Eastwood Off Licence at gunpoint.

The robbery happened at the off licence near the Oakwood pub, in Rayleigh Road, Eastwood, at about 7pm yeasterday.

A robber brandished a black handgun at the 38-year-old male shop assistant, who handed over a three figure sum of cash from the till.

A second man leaned over the counter and grabbed three packets of cigarettes.

The first man was white, aged 17 to 24, and 5ft 9ins tall.

He was wearing a grey top with the hood up. He had on a black hooded top over it with the hood down and a blue T shirt withdark blue jeans. He also had black or blue gloves with a logo on the back and a black scarf.

The second robber was about 18 to 20 and 5ft 7ins tall.

He had light brown short hair and was wearing blue trainers with white stripes. He had on baggy blue jeans with large pockets at the front, a hooded top, and a scarf covering his face.

He was carrying a white rucksack.

The pair were seen running away in the direction of Eastwood Rise.
