A PAEDOPHILE and his wife face prison after admitting a string of charges involving sickening sex acts.

Timothy Newman, 44, and Patricia, 40, were charged with 14 counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possessing indecent images of children.

This followed the discovery of hundreds of child porn images at their home in Glebe Close, Great Wakering.

Patricia Newman denied the 15 offences and they were ordered to lie on file.

Mr Newman admitted all the charges except two counts of making indecent images of children.

He also pleaded guilty to two counts of committing an act outraging public decency by filming up the skirts of young girls and women in public places.

Although she denied the indecent images offences, Mrs Newman admitted having sex with an animal, the family’s alsatian dog.

All the offences were said to have been committed on or around November 8, 2007.

Andrew Jackson, prosecuting, said it was clear from video footage seized from the defendants’ home, the dog had been trained to have sex with Mrs Newman.

At Basildon Crown Court, Judge Christopher Mitchell adjourned the case for probation reports.

He warned the couple: “I am granting you unconditional bail, but you must understand you may well both go to prison.”

The couple will return to the court for sentence on Friday, March 27.
