A SUPPORT worker who lost his father to cancer will run the London Marathon for Macmillan Nurses.
David Barnes, 27, of Dalroy Close, South Ockendon, works at Larwood residential home for adults with learning disabilities, in South Ockendon. He said: “The Macmillan nurses were a great support to me and my father in his last weeks. If anyone would like to sponsor me to help these wonderful nurses it would be greatly appreciated.”
David will be running the marathon dressed as Toy Story character Buzz Lightyear. He has placed collection buckets in the Knight of Aveley Pub, South Ockendon, for contributions.
