PUPILS have been exploring different cultures and promoting them to tourists as part of a school competition.
Year 7 pupils at FitzWimarc School, Rayleigh, created advertising and marketing companies to run campaigns to try to attract tourists to their chosen countries.
The eight teams were promoting Italy, France, China, India, Mexico, Kenya, Japan and Egypt respectively, with a TV advert and a display.
Teams dressed up in outfits typical of their chosen country and the chairman of Rochford District Council, Jim Grey, went along to announce the winning team.

Isn't it pitiful when the PC brigade insist that other cultures are explored in preference to the English one!

So Perini, you know exactly what is studied in the school? Of course they study English cultures. This activity does not mean they are ignoring the country they are in but looking at the whole of the world. Did you never study Geography at school? Did your Atlas only have England in it?You're as bad as the Americans who only think their country exists - well apart from those other places they like to bomb occasionally!! Get your racist head out of your backside!!!
