THE family of a man who died while in police custody say they are “greatly disappointed” at the findings of a jury into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Jurors returned a narrative verdict at the inquest of Faisal Al-Ani, and found that police officers did not use inappropriate force when restraining him in the High Street, Southend, in 2005.
However, they did find that inappropriate consideration was given, and inappropriate attention was paid, to Mr Al-Ani’s welfare.
