A COMMUNITY art wall project in Southend’s High Street gave people the chance to explore their ideas of how Southend could look in 2020.
The graffiti wall was organised by South East Essex College, as part of Southend Festival.
One side was taken up with how youngsters imagined the town will look in the future, and the other side was given a futuristic theme by art students, street artist Toska, and members of the public who took a turn with spray cans and paintbrushes.
Toska said: “I wanted to mix a traditional graffiti style with a message for the future of Southend, so at one end I focused on both a vision of how the beach may be redeveloped in the future and at the other end, I wanted to bring in more flowers and greenery.”
