Landlord saves knife victim

A MAN was stabbed in the street before staggering to a pub where he was given life-saving treatment by the landlord who had suffered the same injury 20 years ago.

The 29-year-old victim managed to make it to the Lamb and Lion pub in Station Road, Westcliff, after being knifed in the back and left with a puntured lung in Valkyrie Road.

Adding a hostel will only increase the problems!

C/cider comment was tongue in cheek because of the plans already afoot to build a new hostel.

What an improvement to the area only 1 attempted murder over the weekend.

Wait until it gets really bad (very soon).

I feel sorry for the residents and IT WILL GET WORSE thanks to Southend Council Planners (of destruction)

My thoughts are with you danbod, I can't tell you how scared and angry I feel. Thank-you for posting your ordeal, at least the public can try to avoid such things happening to them. I will certainly try to avoid this part of Westcliff now, which is such a shame as I have some particularly good memories of it.

The echo reported that Idris Hill of 25 Britannia Road was charged with stabbing someone twice in Valkyrie Road last month. I hope a stabbing every month does not become something we have to accept in Valkyrie Road.

Westcliff could be vastly improved with a daisy cutter.
