A YOUTH service is planning weekly events to keep young people entertained over the summer.
Connexions, in Southend, has lined up activities during a series of What’s on Wednesday events.
August 5 will be Wild Wednesday which gives parents the chance to take their children to Colchester Zoo. This will be followed by Winners Wednesday on August 12, a sports event to be held at Shoebury Park between 1pm and 5pm.
Women’s Wednesday comes next on August 19, at Leigh Youth Centre in Elm Road, where women can pamper themselves.
Finally, Watch It Wednesday on August 26 a fun-filled film festival at Focus Youth centre.
Mark Flewitt, Southend’s deputy councillor responsible for children and learning said: “There is no need for young people to be bored this summer. There is something for everyone.”
