Angry residents and businesses have demanded a school for problem children is moved from Canvey.
More than 50 people packed into a meeting at the Paddocks last night to show their anger at the school, which opened in Vandervalt Avenue in September.
Residents and business owners said children from the school were running amock and called on Essex County Council to find a new location for it.
During the meeting Bob Hall, whose group Continuum run the institute, apologised for the trouble caused by his pupils and promised behaviour would improve.
