A FLYING doctor is the second appointment to the East of England Ambulance Service's new executive team.
Dr Pamela Chrispin who flies regularly on the East Anglian Air Ambulance will take up her post as medical director in January.
Dr Chrispin has a background in anaesthesia and critical care and has been a consultant at the West Suffolk Hospital for the past 11 years, currently serving as deputy medical director.
She said: “I am absolutely delighted to be offered this opportunity.
“The ambulance service is a fantastic organisation of which the people in the east of England are justifiably proud.”
The East of England Ambulance Service is responsible for all ambulance services in south Essex.
